China education reform

Education Reform And The Economy

The Crenshaw campaign instituted a tremendous voter contact program and volunteer ground game. Being short on both time and money in a heavily Democratic district, we decided to focus all of our efforts on likely voters.

Don’t Over-program. Kids benefit from unstructured outdoor time, where they create their own activities and freely explore their surroundings. Let them make up games, find special outdoor places, and start up projects. I remember some great organized football games from my childhood, but I also remember playing in the woods, damming up creeks, having rock-skipping contests.

The distribution of IQ scores provides some insight into this phenomenon. By definition, the distribution of IQ makes a nice bell curve centered over 100. However, the distribution of economic status within this bell curve is far from random.

Referring to the Olympics, Romer quipped that “We’d be first in the world” if Americans paid as much attention to education as they do to sports. America “wouldn’t be on the podium” if medals were given out for math or science achievement.

Education is nothing but adding in the learning process of the child. Marks cannot weigh the learning abilities of a child. Focus must be on perfection of the learning process of the child rather than marks. We have an aim of building a child as a good human being with all round development out of the education. We don’t want the marking system of Board exams which categories the students into good and bad, even worst. Comparing by rank, by marks and stressing upon the child to fetch good marks have been going to be outdated. And education will be a research based studies. Now goal will not be to keep highest marks but to perfect in learning.

Third, dramatic education reform is a winning issue that will move more minorities into the Republican column. It is the Democrats and misguided Republicans that keep Illinois children in failing schools by not supporting a school choice programs and more rapid charterization of education infrastructure.

Current trends in education “reform” rely heavily on teacher-bashing, and on claims about the supposed failure of public schools that would put Chicken Little to shame. Wealthy individuals and corporate interests spend millions of dollars on media to denigrate public schools and undermine the professional reputation of public school teachers.

Vacation to parks and diverse natural places. It’s a wide, diverse world! It doesn’t have to be about golf, spas, roller coasters, and sports (not that there’s anything wrong with them!). See the mountains, beaches, plains, deserts, wetlands, badlands and forests. Try fishing, hiking, rafting, rock climbing, zip-lining, glacier walking, snorkeling, meteor crater checking, climbing into the rainforest canopy, and caving. Visit nature centers and museums. Many of these places have fine hotels and restaurants in addition to fabulous activities.

Three Tips To Insure A Great School Year

So, if you want to evaluate the process of education at Lewis-Palmer Elementary, follow this most foundational principle – look at the quality of doing in that school. See how much time kids are engaged doing something they have a genuine interest in doing. Do not be fooled with contrived activity. If you see kids obediently (or not) listening to lectures – that is truly bad doing. What kid has a genuine interest in a lecture? If you see kids, with blank expressions, filling out workbooks – that is unlikely good doing. If you see kids laboring through repetitious math problems – that is not good doing.

I believe that the key words here are, “education of children is a fundamental value of the people of the state of Florida”. Again our children and teachers take the hit. It is obvious that we need to revamp our education reform. I believe that if cuts are to be made to education that it should start on the administrative side and not on the backs of our children and teachers. Our teachers have not gotten a pay raise in three years. Many of our teachers are living from paycheck to paycheck.

The Democrats ran a very good “get out the vote effort”. The Democrats are on a completely different level with their GOTV success. In all heavily Democratic precincts, people were handing out flyers just outside the polling place. People were literally in the streets flagging down cars getting people to vote. This is only what we witnessed. Odds are that they had plenty of people knocking on doors on election day driving people to the polls. The coordinated GOTV effort in the 43rd resulted in turnout increasing over 15%! That was what made the margin of victory so great.

Cedra Crenshaw was on the ballot for approximately 100 days. She was slated at the end of March and due to legal challenges from the Democratic party regarding her petition, she was not fully instated until July 21, 2010. Whether we look at this as a 100 day race, or a 6 month race, time was short.

When I was crumbsnatcher my mom gave my sister and i a 25-cent a week allowance on Saturday and i walked down to the local mom-and-pop store, you know where you would occasionally find a roach inside of a malted ball, and bought a box of Milk Duds for 5 cents, a designer Mounds Bar for 10, and a package of 3 comic books for a dime. The middle comic was always a mystery because you could not see it. Everybody read them, traded them, and hid them from evil teachers.

One survey asked kids where they like to spend their free time, and got this response: “I like it indoors best, that’s where the electricity is.” He was honest, and hardly alone. Author Richard Louv calls this, “Nature Deficit Disorder,” in a book called Last Child In the Woods. Of course there is actually no such disease, and certainly no pill for it as well. There are, however, consequences related to this “disease.” Childhood obesity is up, science scores are down.

The Crenshaw campaign instituted a tremendous voter contact program and volunteer ground game. Being short on both time and money in a heavily Democratic district, we decided to focus all of our efforts on likely voters.

When Christians took over the Republican Party, the Democrats were faced with a difficult choice. Unlike the Republican Party, which had effectively become the “Conservative Right Wing Christian Party,” the Democrats had to appeal to a wide variety of voters. In addition to the aging hippies, social liberals, environmentalists, atheists, and other various progressives, they had to woo the great undecided middle. There simply were not enough progressives in america to carry an election.
